Calling Siddique a man who died ‘protecting and saving’ the lives and homes of poor people, Zeeshan said that his death must not be politicised.

The Mumbai police have issued a look-out circular (LOC) for Shubham Lonkar, an absconding suspect in the murder case of Baba Siddique. “We have issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Shubham Lonkar, an absconding accused in the case. Police are continuously searching for the accused in NCP leader Baba Siddique’s murder case,” stated the Mumbai police on Thursday.
So far, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested four individuals related to the case, while three suspects remain at large. Ongoing efforts to locate them are in progress.
On Tuesday, police shared insights into the conspiracy behind Baba Siddique’s murder, revealing that planning had begun three months prior. The suspects had visited Siddique’s home multiple times without weapons. According to the Crime Branch, the entire plot was orchestrated in Pune, with more than 15 statements recorded from individuals connected to the case.
The police further disclosed that Harish, the fourth accused, acted as a middleman. Arrested suspects Praveen and Shubham Lonkar allegedly provided Rs 2 lakh to the hired shooters, Gurmel Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap, with the funds funneled through Harish.
In response to the tragic incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured that those responsible for such heinous acts will be held accountable. “No one will be spared. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty,” the Chief Minister affirmed.Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra Minister, was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar, suffering two gunshot wounds to his chest. He was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries on October 12.
