Guwahati: Former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi who suffered from COVID-19 recently was again admitted to Guwahati medical college and hospital (GMCH) after his health condition deteriorated on Thursday.Assam health minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Gogoi’s oxygen level is fluctuating. “This seems to post COVID-19 situation. Later in the day his condition is reported to be stable.” Sarma said, “On Friday doctors from AIIMS will discuss with doctors of GMCH on the line of treatment. I have discussed with Congress leader Rockybull Hussain and Gogoi’s son Gaurav Gogoi, Lok Sabha MP on the possibility of taking the former chief minister to New Delhi, if required.” Sarma added that Gogoi had recovered and was on mild oxygen support seven days back. He said, “Post COVID we are observing is becoming more fatal. Several people develop lungs related complication.” Gogoi was admitted to GMCH when he declared that he was suffering from COVID-19 on August 26. Octogenarian Congress leader is presently in ICU.
