Congress Working Committee meets to discuss future plans

The Congress Working Committee is meeting to discuss organizational polls and the current political situation in which the party finds itself. Talking about the presidency of the party, Sonia Gandhi said that she is a full-time and hands-on Congress president. In terms of the organizational election, the Congress president has said that today will be the occasion to bring clarity once and for all. Sonia Gandhi has said that they had finalised a roadmap to elect a regular Congress chief by June 30. However, the second wave of the Covid pandemic put an indefinite delay on their plans.

When it comes to the election foreign policy has become a diabolical instrument of electoral mobilization, she said at the meeting. “We face serious challenges on borders”, Gandhi said. She also used the opportunity to speak on the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. She said that the incident is a clear indication of how the BJP perceives the farmers’ protest.
