Chirag Paswan meets Tejashwi Yadav, fuels talks of alliance

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan met RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday and invited him to attend a function being organised in Patna to mark the first death anniversary of his father, late Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, on September 12.The meeting has fuelled talk about the chances of the two leaders coming together in the future. However, both young leaders told media persons that their meeting was a result of “family relations” that went back to the ties shared by their fathers.“I must make it clear that today’s meeting with Tejashwi Bhai has nothing to do with politics. Had my father been alive, he would have certainly liked Laluji and his family to be a part of any function taking place in my family,” said Paswan.

Paswan, who represents Jamui in Parliament, is currently facing a tough time after the split in his party engineered by his uncle Pashupati Paras, who is now a Union minister.
