BJP to bring new faces as CM in Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh? Here is the latest buzz

After the BJP’s thumping victory in three Hindi heartland states, there was a buzz around who would become the new chief minister in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. As per several reports, the Bhartiya Janata Party is planning to give the responsibility of the Chief Minister post to new faces in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Before going to the polls, the party had refrained from naming any leader as the CM face in these states. But after the polls, there were speculations about whether old regional satraps like Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Vasundhara Raje, and Raman Singh would get the CM responsibility or whether the party would name new leaders as CMs.

After the BJP’s massive victory in these states, there has been a surprising silence on the new BJP’s CM candidate. There had been rumours that the central BJP leadership would meet to discuss the appointment of the chief minister. The meeting, however, has not taken place, and there is no word on when it will take place. In BJP, the procedure of selecting a CM is divided into three stages: first, the central leadership selects a suitable candidate; then, the BJP MLAs elect their leader; and finally, the Parliamentary Board, the party’s highest decision-making body, approves.
