Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal urges BJP workers to generate awareness about strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today held a video conference with BJP Assam Pradesh workers and urged them to generate awareness among the people about strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols for overcoming the latest wave of the pandemic in the state.Saying that due to the joint efforts of the government, BJP workers and all other stakeholders Assam became one of the successful states in managing the first wave of COVID-19 in the country, Sonowal highlighted how BJP members donated plasma, helped the poor and the needy in the fight against the pandemic and called on them to similarly work for generating mass awareness about COVID-19 protocols and strengthening government’s efforts this time also.Sonowal emphasized that awareness and precaution are the keys to contain COVID-19 and called on the party people to create mass awareness at the grassroots about the importance of taking vaccine and maintaining COVID-19 protocols. He also said that BJP being the world’s largest political party must shoulder the responsibility of helping the society in this time of crisis and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the whole country is strongly fighting the pandemic.

  • Calling on the BJP members in the state to help the state government in tackling the situation through initiative such as distribution of essential commodities to the needy and bringing any irregularity to the notice of the administration, Sonowal expressed confidence that the experience during the first phase of COVID-19 pandemic in the state would help in managing the situation efficiently this time and said that government and the public would be able to jointly defeat the pandemic this time also.The Chief Minister addressed the BJP state workers, President of BJP Assam Pradesh, District President, General Secretary, Mandal President and other officials in today’s video conference.
