Price hike is skyrocketing. The Centre has no planning at all: Mamata

We can see Srilanka’s economic crisis and how people have revolted in anger. I don’t want to compare India with Srilanka but there’s no planning by the central government,” Mamata Banerjee said, and appealed the Centre to call for an all-party meeting to discuss the issues.“Price hike is skyrocketing in the country and people are struggling. The central government has no planning at all. It is your (the Centre’s) work to chalk out strategies to reduce price hike and solve the related issues. If they want, I can provide my suggestions. It is a burning issue of the country. Everything has become pricy,” Banerjee said adding, “they (Centre) are only using ED and CBI to raid the opposition political parties. They are only talking about Bengal’s violence and attacking Mamata Banerjee. They have won in Uttar Pradesh and gifted the people with fuel-price hike.” She also blamed the BJP for instigating people on several issues.

The situation is so difficult.”The WB CM targeted the Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar over the issue of an appointment of Lokayukta and Human Rights Chairperson. “I don’t understand why he is not releasing the files and what kind of politics is this ? Every where parallel government is running,” Banerjee said.Responding to West Bengal Chief Minister’s comment, Dhankhar took to twitter said, “Chief Minister’s assertion that appointment files -Lok Ayukta or SHRC Chairman/Member or Information Commissioners are pending Guv consideration is incorrect These files received on Feb 17 were returned in five days and state response is awaited now for a month and half.”Talking about the central government’s deprivation of the non-BJP state governments, Banerjee said, “The Chhatisgarh Chief Minister wrote a letter to me, saying that they did not get GST money.”“I have already written a letter to Chief Ministers of various non-BJP states about the need for an anti-BJP platform to fight the BJP,” she added.Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee handed over government job offer letters to the victims of Rampurhat Violence today.
