MUMBAI: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences report may have ruled out any homicide angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput death, but BJP leaders continue to maintain that it was a case of murder. On Monday, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Narayan Rane maintained that the actor was killed and that the Uddhav Thackeray government had allegedly tried to hush up the case.“Soon the truth would be known whether it was death or suicide, who were involved in his death, how was he killed?… the CBI has found substance in the case and hence taken up the case, it has not closed the case,” said Rane. He also alleged that the actor’s former manager Disha Salian was also killed and the two deaths were linked. When reminded that the AIIMS report had said it was a suicide, he retorted, “I have not read the report yet. How can I accept that report if I have not read it.” He claimed that he is not speaking out of his hat.Earlier, responding to CM Uddhav Thackeray’s Hindutva jibe where he asked BJP leaders to take lessons in Hindutva from RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, state BJP leader Ashish Shelar said, “You first supported CAA in the Lok Sabha, then you ran away (when it came for voting in Rajya Sabha) and you went outside and opposed it. You wanted the bhoomi pujan of the Ram temple to be done online. You are not following Hindutva.”He further added that Uddhav would have to take “Hindutva certificate from the RSS and the BJP”.
