Mumbai: Amid concerns expressed by actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s family over the CBI probe into his death, NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday questioned the CBI’s lack of progress in the case. “The Centre felt that the Mumbai police was not doing a proper investigation, so they brought in a different agency (CBI). However, we are still to see what have they been able to accomplish in the case,”said Pawar while speaking to reporters in Pandharpur.Pawar’s comment came a day after CBI said it has not come to any conclusion and is looking at all aspects of the case.Pawar added: “ They (CBI) have not been able to enlighten us on their investigations. In fact, the case is going somewhere else now.”The NCP chief was referring to the arrest of Rhea Chakrovarty by the Narcotics Control Bureau and questioning of actors like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh for allegedly consuming drugs. “The Sushant case Singh has now been sidelined and other new stuff is coming to the fore. Doubts are being created as to whether the investigating agency is doing this to divert the case to a new direction,”said the NCP chief.
